Eligibility
Membership is open primarily to English-language publishers who:
- are primarily literary in nature (over half the content of each issue
or title consists of fiction, poetry, drama, literary reviews and/or
essays);
- have published at least one issue or title prior to applying for
membership;
- publish at least one issue or book title per year on an ongoing basis;
- have a minimum print run of 500 titles per issue (subject to approval);
- do not charge authors a fee to publish their works;
- are not primarily self-publishing;
- do not primarily publish children's or students'
(undergraduate/high
school) work.
NB: Overall editorial, literary, design and production quality
will also be considered. Applicants may either be not-for-profit or for-profit, and
be located anywhere in the world.
Dues Structure
Membership dues are based on an organization's annual budget. Include
payment with your application (pay by credit card using our secure server or
print out an application and send with a check).

How to Apply
- Complete application form and e-mail or mail print-out of application
with dues payment.
- Mail one copy each of up to two issues or titles as well as one copy
of a current catalogue (if applicable).
Publishers must complete and return the application form and return it to
CLMP with:
- one copy each of up to two issues or titles (presses and magazines)
- one copy of a current catalogue (presses)
- promotional material or brochure and, if applicable, one copy of a
print anthology or issue (online publishers)
