RSVP REQUIRED* CLMP is once again pleased to invite NY-State member publishers to its annual "Applying to NYSCA" workshop, conducted in conjunction with New York State Council on the Arts and the New York Literary Presenters Technical Assistance Program. NYSCA Deputy Director Al Berr and NYSCA Literature Director Kathleen Masterson will be on hand to answer questions and provide guidelines for publishers applying to the Literature Program. (NYSCA's registration deadline for grant applications is 3/1/05 guidelines available at www.nysca.org). Attendees are encouraged to bring their own "brown bag" lunch. Directions to NYSCA: NYSCA's offices are located at 175 Varick Street, between King Street and Charlton Street, in Lower Manhattan. Varick Street is the southern-most section of Seventh Avenue. The office is within walking distance of Greenwich Village, Soho, Tribeca, and the Hudson River. Subway: #1 train to Houston Street (the King Street exit is one block north of NYSCA), or E train to Spring Street stop (walk one block west to Varick and two blocks north to Charlton). Bus: Houston Street Bus (#21) west to Varick Street stop, or the Seventh Avenue bus (#20) south to Houston Street stop. Walk two blocks south on Varick to NYSCA offices.
