New York, NYPresented by the Council for Literary Magazines and Presses (CLMP) and The New York Public Library, the Periodically Speaking reading series provides a major new venue for emerging writers to introduce their work while highlighting the riches of literary magazines in New York City and the magazine collections of The New York Public Library.
Tuesday, June 14th, 6-7:30 pm, $FREE
American Letters & Commentary Fiction Editor Eric Darton will introduce Olu Oguibe, reading Letter from Prester John, which was written for the magazine's recent symposium, This is Not a Time to be Without Wishes: Writers and Artists Invent Another World.
Fiction Editor Lynne Tillman will introduce Christopher Sorrentino, reading an excerpt from his short story Misapprehensions.
Editor Matvei Yankelevich will introduce Erica Weitzman, reading her poem Break. Look for more Periodically Speaking events in the Fall!
