Welcome to the CLMP Media Database for Literary Publishers. This database combines the resources of our membership to provide a very powerful tool. The strength of this database, however, correlates directly to your participation. You will note as you do searches that we have provided you with the ability to add contacts and to update information. As each of you adds information based on your own direct contacts and regional knowledge, the effectiveness of the database will continue to deepen. What sort of information might you add? If you know, for example, that a particular reviewer only reviews fiction, then you can add that genre focus by clicking the appropriate button and sending in your suggested update. If you know that a particular reading series happens only every summer, that information would be useful to add in a note field. If there are multiple individuals at a single venue, perhaps you know which is the best primary contact. And so forth.

Any search can be downloaded as a data file (which you can then open in Word, Filemaker, Access, or most any database or word processing program), to turn into mailing labels, contact sheets, etc., as you wish.

The current database contains more than 5,000 records from publishers across the North American continent. We urge you to add regional contacts and to make corrections, additions, clarifications to those already listed whenever possible.

Through this kind of resource sharing, we can further accomplish our group mission of connecting writers to readers. Thank you for participating!
