Cardboard House Press Open Call for Spanish-language Poetry in Translation

We publish books of poetry originally written in Spanish and translated to English. Submissions are made by translators. We encourage potential submitters to review our catalog and mission statement. Paperback series submissions are over 15 pages of translated poetry.

We accept submissions that include:

• A brief cover letter on the translation, including information on original publication and translation rights, prior publications of excerpts, and how the volume fits with the Cardboard House Press catalog and mission.
• The complete manuscript in translation along with the original. A standard, 12-point font and 1.5 spacing is preferred, in .doc, .docx, or PDF format. If the translation is in process, please submit at least 75% of the manuscript and a description of the timeline for completion.
• A bio of the author and translator(s). There is no limit on the number of translators.

Simultaneous submissions are allowed as long as you inform Cardboard House Press immediately of acceptance elsewhere. Paperback publication with Cardboard House Press includes 15 copies and an honorarium each for the translator (or translation team) and author.
