Do you live in a home that once belonged to your grandparents or the grandparents of a partner or spouse? We can’t wait to read its story and see pictures!
For Adam Carl Smith, the nostalgia surrounding his late grandparents’ home was so strong that he orchestrated the home’s move on an 18-wheeler west on I-40 from Des Arc, Arkansas, to downtown Little Rock. Salvaging the walls that had always held him tenderly, he has lovingly renovated, personalized, and transformed the house into his own forever home. Now, Adam is creating a coffee-table-style book devoted to others who, like him, are holding onto the memory of their grandparents by living in their homes.

- Final selections will be made and announced early in 2024. The anticipated publication date is late summer 2024, in time to celebrate on Grandparents Day 2024 (September 8).
The book will be published by Et Alia Press, “a small press for big voices,” based in Little Rock, Arkansas, publishing nonfiction and children’s books.
