Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
The mission statement for the Louisville Review is to import the best writing to our readers, to juxtapose the work of established writers with new writers on a national level. Our editorial focus is primarily on poetry and fiction, and we also have a feature called Cornerstone, for poetry by students K-12. Each poem and story submitted to The Louisville Review is judged entirely on its own merit, whether the author is already well-known or previously unpublished.
We also occasionally run national contests with entry fees and cash prizes; it supports the Fleur-de-Lis book press for first time book authors whose work has previously appeared in TLR.
