Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
GASHER is a journal of literary and visual arts founded in Boulder, CO by poet Whitney Kerutis. Motivated by the discovery and celebration of both emerging and established authors, GASHER Journal aims to provide a platform for ALL artists regardless of age, residency, race, or gender. We want art that guts us with surgical precision. Make everything useful.

Submissions Policy
For the online quarterly issue: ​We accept simultaneous submissions. Please, let us know if your submission is accepted elsewhere. Work must be unpublished. For poetry, fiction, and CNF, please submit your work as a single document in either .docx or .pdf. For visual art, please submit work as .jpeg files with an introductory statement (no more than 300 words) about the collection included. Please include a brief bio with your submission. Please submit up to 4 poems (maximum 8 pages), 6 pieces of art, 500-3,000 words of fiction or CNF (no more than 4 stories totaling 3,000 words. Each piece must have a minimum of 500 words) ​ For chapbooks: ​​We accept simultaneous submissions. Please, let us know if your submission is accepted elsewhere. Please include a brief bio with your submission. Manuscripts must be submitted as either .pdf or .docx Currently, GASHER is only accepting submissions from those who reside in the U.S. ​
