Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
Parhelion Literary Magazine was founded in 2017 by Elizabeth Varel and Darren Morris, two graduates of the Virginia Commonwealth University MFA Program. Our mission is to provide a platform that celebrates creative and innovative writing by gifted emerging and established writers. We strive to promote writers, connect writers with other writers, and educate writers, all while creating a positive, collaborative environment for the writing community—a place to feel at home in a rather noisy world.
