Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
Silver Wings Review is an independent literary magazine dedicated to publishing and promoting contemporary literature and the diverse creative voices that shape it. Our mission is to provide a thoughtful, accessible, and professionally edited platform for writers and artists whose work demonstrates originality, authenticity, imagination, and a distinctive creative perspective. Our editorial focus encompasses poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, essays, short stories, photography, visual art, and experimental literary work . We welcome both emerging and established contributors and seek work that engages meaningfully with the complexities of human experience, including identity, memory, relationships, culture, nature, place, emotion, and contemporary life. We believe literary publishing should create opportunities for voices from different backgrounds and perspectives while maintaining high standards of editorial quality and artistic integrity. Our editors evaluate submissions on the strength, originality, craftsmanship, and individual vision of the work rather than on an author's reputation or previous publication history. Silver Wings Review aims to foster a respectful literary community in which writers and artists retain recognition for their creative contributions and are treated with professionalism throughout the editorial and publishing process. We are committed to presenting contributors' work with care and to building a lasting record of contemporary creative expression. Our goal is not simply to assemble individual works into issues, but to create a cohesive literary publication that encourages discovery, conversation, and continued engagement with literature and the arts. Silver Wings Review exists to discover distinctive voices, champion creative expression, and give contemporary literature the space to take flight.
