Kari Ann Flickinger Memorial Prize 2025 for a Short Fiction/Story Collection

Submission are open for the 2025 Kari Ann Flickinger Memorial Prize for a short fiction / story collection. the winner will receive $1500 and publication along with three finalists awarded $250.00 and publication. All selected work, on publication will be added to the Kari Ann Flickinger Memorial Library in honour of her commitment to artistic endeavour and her support of writers. The prize is possible through the generous support of her family and patronage of her widower Bill Abney. The closing date for submissions is September 30th 2015.
All manuscripts should be no less than 40,000 words in total. Please ensure the general formatting includes double spacing, in 12pt Garamond font. Please use # for blank spacing between sections / scenes within the stories. No Identifying information on the submission as the entries are read blind. Please include your name, pen name, and full contact details in a brief cover letter, along with a brief author bio. While we welcome and encourage experimental work, please be mindful of printing limitations of a 6 x9inch production format.
