Call For Submissions
Broken Tribe Press is looking for really long, quality novels. Most presses these days are shutting out novels over 100,000 words. We want to honor those long-distance runners one final time with this contest for “Longest Novel in the World.”
General Guidelines
Open to writers anywhere in the world for an original, previously unpublished novel of fiction (open to genres below) written in English. Word count: minimum of 100,000 words, no maximum. All content must be original, no AI generated content, single author works only, no translations allowed. Previously published works are ineligible, including self-published works in any format. If short excerpts of the work have been previously published in literary magazines (print or online), that will not disqualify the manuscript.
Open genres: science fiction, horror, mystery, thriller, historical, literary, contemporary.
Sorry, we don’t do YA, romance, fantasy, westerns, or any other sub-genre not listed above.
Submission Process: All manuscripts must be submitted through Submittable in PDF or word.doc format. Manuscripts sent to Broken Tribe’s email will not be read.
All submissions must be accompanied by a <250 word synopsis and a cast of major characters. Include this at the beginning of the manuscript.
Anonymity: Manuscripts must be anonymous; there should be no appearance of your name anywhere on or in the manuscript, or in the document name of your submitted work.
