Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
In 2020 Alliteration Publishing House was created as a project that responded to the necessity of bonding the organization with a new community, with a new city. Cities are vivid expressions of identity, coexistence, conflicts, and metamorphosis. Alliteration, as an initiative born in the multicultural and multilingual Miami Beach, wants to invite the readers to construct and traverse bridges of meaning, acceptance, and understanding. It publishes voices that echo loud and soft, with confidence and fragility, striving to create harmony within our community - knowing hybridity is the driving force that will lead us to a better. We publish and promote authors who generally represent different languages, migration processes, and diversity. Our catalog emphasizes poetry. We have published eleven titles, nine of which are poetry collections in bilingual editions. All our authors identify as BIPOC and are solid voices constructed from and with minorities' sensibilities, realities, and concerns. In the midterm plans, the editorial will also launch a children's program that emphasizes promoting values for a better future.
