Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
The mission of The Baltimore Review is to showcase Baltimore as a literary hub of diverse writing and promote the work of emerging and established writers. The Baltimore Review was founded in 1996 and now publishes poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction in quarterly online issues, as well as in an annual print compilation. The BR holds two theme contests each year and awards prizes. The BR also provides all non-contest contributors with a small payment for their work.
