Appel, Mark Doty, Marilyn Hacker, Timothy Liu, D.A. Powell, Eric Trethewey, Tom Whalen, and Christy Wise. Writing that first appeared in Bayou has been short-listed for the Pushcart Prize and named in the notable essays list in Best American Essays.
