Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
Couplet Poetry is a literary journal, published twice yearly, dedicated to publishing two poems (a couplet) by one author that rhyme (thematically or sonically), pair, complement, juxtapose, hold hands, translate or otherwise couple with one another. Our aesthetic is open (send us your experimental work, your formal work, your something in-between work), but we skew toward the jarring, the odd, the weird, the macabre, the political, the punk, the intersectional, the depressed, the fierce, the feminist and/or the misbehaved. Work by BIPOC writers, queer writers, women writers, disabled writers and writers from other marginalized backgrounds is welcomed and encouraged.
