What Do You Look For In A Submission?
We look for cultural value, quality, and whether the manuscript is a good for us based on our publishing programme goals and our editorial expertise. Our main focus is non-ficti and we have a highly regarded poetry list but accept other genres.
What Advice Do You Have For First-time Submitters?
Proofread your manuscript and follow the submission guidelines. Don't be afraid to put your manuscript out...you'll never find a publisher unless you try.
Do You Have A Favorite Unsolicited Submission Discovery Or Anecdote?
We found one of highly reviewed books through an interaction on Twitter...they were looking for a publisher, we told them we would love to see it, and it ended up being one of the top Scottish poetry books published in 2023! (Scotsman newspaper).
