Horse & Buggy Press publishes books in a variety of genres in a collaborative manner with a diverse range of writers, artists, and historians. Many of these titles have won awards for both their content and their design, and all books are published with high production values, including a small number of titles which incorporate in house letterpress printing, hand-sewn bindings and other special touches. The press publishes 5-10 books a year and additionally Horse & Buggy Press and Friends and PS118 Gallery and Event Space are two gallery spaces run by the press. Many books have kickoff reading events at these spaces and integrate with art exhibits from the books' content.
