Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
Maitri Poetry is a new collaborative poetry space for publications, readings, and workshops. MP’s first endeavor is Night Sweats of the Spirit: A lived experience anthology edited by Marie Marchand and Joseph Fasano. The title is inspired by the work of Robert Lowell, who lived with mental illness and helped destigmatize it through his writing. The book will be released on World Mental Health Day, October 10, 2022. "one universe, one body . . . in this urn the animal night sweats of the spirit burn."  -- Robert Lowell, "Night Sweats"
