Submissions Policy
~ Rolling Submissions ~ Submissions may be sent in the body of an email or as an email attachment (.docx – .doc – .rtf – Google doc) – Please no PDFs Send 1-5 poems (5 pages max) + bio Preference for concise free verse (but will consider formal poems that read in the manner of free verse) Please refrain from simultaneous submissions as our typical response time is one to three days. No previously published work. / No reprints. ONE ART will consider work that has previously appeared on a personal blog. If a poem that has appeared on your blog is accepted for publication in ONE ART, we ask that you revise your original blog post to note the publication. ONE ART is intended to be a safe space for all. ONE ART values inclusivity and encourages submissions by poets who identify as being part of any marginalized group, Black, Indigenous, and people of color, poets who identify (privately and/or publicly) as part of the LGBTQAI+ community, neurodiverse poets, and poets with physical or mental health challenges. We would like to hear from poets who are disadvantaged due to the many forms of social disenfranchisement as well as otherwise vulnerable populations in society both in the United States and internationally. Submissions to ONE ART should be sent to: [email protected] Rights revert to author upon publication. ONE ART reserves the right to reprint your work in other formats. Please wait at least one month between submissions. If you have been published by ONE ART, please wait at least three months until submitting again. Submissions are free; however, if you’d like to support ONE ART, please consider making a donation. This will not affect your likelihood of acceptance or rejection.
