We envision a world where Black life is dignified, creativity is celebrated, and joy is unapologetic. Resistance & Resilience publication was created to amplify Black music, art, and culture. We accept literary fiction and nonfiction, poetry, reviews, and photography.

Submissions Policy
All submissions are accepted via Jotform. We accept literary fiction and nonfiction, poetry (all formats), opinion/cultural critique, reviews, and photography. You may submit up to 3 poems (up to 10 pages total) and up to ten photographs for consideration. Do not submit work that has already been published elsewhere. Feel free to rework an article or take a different angle, but we only accept work that is previously unpublished. Resistance & Resilience is open to simultaneous submissions, but contact us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere. Please provide payment options once your piece is accepted. Currently, we pay $200 for literary fiction and nonfiction; $75 for all poetry, reviews, and photography. We will submit a payment within 14 business days after publication.
