Silver Rose is a new online journal looking for stories, essays, visual art, and poems. Though we tend to lean toward literary fiction, we are open to reading genre fiction as well. We enjoy all types of narratives, but are partial to ones relating to themes of love, attraction, desire, and heartbreak. Beyond publishing an issue every other month, we also host writing contests.

Submissions Policy
Fiction Guidelines: Silver Rose is looking for literary fiction with themes of love, heartbreak, desire, and longing. We also accept works within the genres of romance, erotica, paranormal romance, and horror/sci-fi/fantasy/historical fiction with romantic elements. (The Haunting of Bly Manor and Reign for example)
We accept works that depict all sexualities.
Manuscripts should be double-spaced, in 12pt Times New Roman font, with standard one-inch margins.
Please remove all identifying information from your submitted document.
Submissions should be no longer that 7,500 words.
We are happy to review both short stories, novel excerpts, and nonfiction.
Please use .doc or .docx file formats. NO PDF FILES. Submissions in other formats will not be accepted. Poetry Guidelines: We want poetry about love. Every aspect of it. Take us through every experience.
Poetry should be single spaced, in 12pt Times New Roman font, with standard one-inch margins.
Silver Rose allows authors to submit one to five poems at a time.
