Submissions Policy
Fiction - Short stories and excerpts from unpublished novels, typically 1,500 - 3,000 words. Nonfiction - Essays, memoir, and articles, typically 2,500 - 4,500 words. Poetry - Include 3 - 4 poems in a single file. Please limit to one submission at a time. Wait for a response to one before submitting another. Simultaneous submissions are accepted, as long as you immediately notify TEXT+Lit editors when your piece has been accepted elsewhere. We accept exclusively original, unpublished manuscripts. This precludes works published on a personal blog or other website. TEXT Lit is an all-volunteer organization. We can not accept pitches. Please send the full manuscript for the piece you would like us to consider.
