Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
The Hyperbolic Review is a literary magazine that publishes work bridging poetry and mathematics — poems that involve abstract objects, patterns, or theorems. This can be in the form of meaningful syllable counts, such as the Fib Poem, or in terms of content. Our mission is to provide a space for both mathematicians and poets to influence form, meter or rhythm in a way similar to the construction of a hyperbolic plane. Namely, we are looking for work that is intricate in theme, with layers of exponential curvature that makes us see life through non-Euclidean space, aimed in the pursuit of beauty and elegance.
