We publish a carefully curated list of titles across a range of genres (literary fiction, narrative nonfiction, essay, and prose that falls somewhere in between), subject matter, and perspectives. We welcome submissions from writers of all backgrounds. WTAW will offer the annual Kevin McIlvoy Book Prize for an unpublished book of prose beginning in fall of 2023. WTAW's imprint Betty publishes books by women for everyone. In addition to full-length books, WTAW Alcove Chapbook Series focuses on chapbooks of prose.
