Fuente Fountain Books, Query letter for book-length feminist progressive manuscripts

Call For Submissions

Fuente Fountain Books is a new small independent press based in Portland, Oregon. We are thrilled that our first title was a finalist for the prestigious 2023 PEN Award for Poetry in Translation. We’re looking for query letters for feminist progressive book-length manuscripts (fiction, nonfiction, memoir, poetry) that help folks visualize and emotionally experience the wonder of life while critically analyzing the gaps we need to bridge to help raise the level of happiness for everyone, including All Our Relations. We’d love to immerse ourselves in visions of how the world can be, based on awareness of our interconnection, life’s inherent oneness, while being clear-eyed about the blocks and challenges that need to be overcome. Whatever this all means to you.

To give you more of an idea of what we’re looking for, here are some of the many titles we wish we could have published:

  • The Real Wealth of Nations, by Riane Eisler
  • The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse, by Louise Erdrich
  • The Overstory, by Richard Powers
  • The People’s History of the United States, Howard Zinn
  • Daughters of a Coral Dawn, by Katherine V. Forrest
  • Educated, by Tara Westover
  • Diving into the Wreck, by Adrienne Rich

Send us your one page query letter by copying and pasting it into our contact page on http://fuentebooks.com/contact-contactos.html

Query letter only, please. No unsolicited manuscripts at this time.

Write on.
