BE supports and hopes to engage people interested in the digital humanities, experimental literature, and race/culture. Supported by The Black Book Interactive Project and AfroPWW 2 Publishing Without Walls, along with the Mellon Foundation, the University of Kansas, and the University of Illinois, BE is a journal that investigates Black experimental and interdisciplinary work. We plan to publish a range of hybrid nonfiction and fiction as well as images, video, and audio texts. We hope that this journal will support and provide community for Black avant-garde artists and their supporters. Our guidelines and more information can be found here:
