How Did You Arrive At Your Current Position?
I established the press in 1998.
What Is The Staff Structure At Your Magazine/press?
I work with independent contractors and authors hired to judge our contests.
Do You Have Any Cover Letter Advice?
Don't address unknown editors on a first name basis. Keep your letters professional and behave in an ethical manner. Courtesy carries one more than you might expect.
How Are Submissions Processed In Your Magazine/press?
We try our best to read all items and weed through them before we respond.
What Do You Look For In A Submission?
Good writing and work that fits our press's focus/mission.
What Advice Do You Have For First-time Submitters?
Read/visit our website before submitting work.
Do You Have A Favorite Unsolicited Submission Discovery Or Anecdote?
My husband heard a radio caller say to Stephanie Miller that her book should be in print, not just as an ebook; we approached Stephanie Miller and we published her book.
Who Is Your Ideal Reader?
One who likes a story or poetry with good plot and characters mixed with an original voice.
