Do You Have Any Cover Letter Advice?
We don't publish on the basis of previous works or awards; in fact, we're more likely to publish those who have yet to be published or win awards. We judge works based upon their quality, not their cover letter – but politeness is required.
What Do You Look For In A Submission?
Raised Brow Press loves submissions that are thought-provoking, engaging, and a pleasure to read. We reject the notion of "high"-brow art; we believe anyone, of any background, should have their voice heard.
What Advice Do You Have For First-time Submitters?
Don't be shy! We're new at this, too. Be kind, be patient, and be respectful. That is our golden rule.
Do You Have A Favorite Unsolicited Submission Discovery Or Anecdote?
All our discoveries are unsolicited submissions. That's the beauty of Raised Brow Press. We don't do under the table deals, or only publish our friends. We publish work we like – it's that simple.
Who Is Your Ideal Reader?
Our ideal reader is always looking for new art to consume. Our ideal reader loves being challenged and questioning their perspective of the world. Our ideal reader cares more about substance than high-profile author names.
