Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
SISTORIES is an interactive black feminist literary magazine and community writing workshop that recognizes storysharing as an ancestral healing practice within the southern black radical tradition. Through publishing nonfiction, fiction, poetry, visual art, and photography by southern black women and femmes, pairing their narratives with interactive workbook elements, and hosting free community writing workshops, we work to transform the impact of oppressive systems on our bodies, spirits, and communities.
