How Did You Arrive At Your Current Position?
I founded The Greyhound Journal along with three other of my friends. We wanted to create a space within the literary community for emerging writers interested in portraying history through well-researched creative work.
What Is The Staff Structure At Your Magazine/press?
We have four sections of volunteers: directors, managers, editors and featured authors.
Do You Have Any Cover Letter Advice?
Go casual, but remember to be respectful! Remember to include your bio.
How Are Submissions Processed In Your Magazine/press?
They are assigned to editors in our group who vote on the submission.
What Do You Look For In A Submission?
For themed issues, we value authors who have read our guidelines! Generally, we have a special admiration for works with strong visual imagery and vivid historical setting, works that place themselves in time with empathy and narrative coherency.
What Advice Do You Have For First-time Submitters?
If in doubt, send it to us! We don't judge our pieces and value every single submission we receive. There's a good chance we'll be honoured to publish your work.
