Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
Tursulowe Press in Philadelphia publishes under-told stories and republishes under-read classics. Our editions are designed using art in the public domain. We offer editing services on a sliding scale for literary works of any size with particular preference given to emerging and under-represented voices. Submissions welcome. Our not-for-profit, Read for Need, gathers and transports books from those who don’t need them to those who do. The press’s goal is to make beautiful, worthy books and to work towards a future in which reading material ends up in people’s hands and not the trash. We give away one book for every book we sell.

Submissions Policy
Submissions are almost always open. We publish a small catalog on a tight schedule and often are not able to take on new projects. We can, however, almost always offer developmental editing for works looking for a home. No project is too small, and our pricing is on a sliding scale.
