est. 2022 by young high school student, jude armstrong, verum literary press is a literary magazine dedicated to publishing outstanding poetry, prose, and art. ‘verum’ means ‘true’ in Latin, which echoes what this magazine was designed for: a space to share and capture the intricates and striking tenderness of who we are. we are interested in the gaps formed between what we want to say and what we do. we publish those in all stages of their literary journeys. we also feel it is critical to showcase work from those who are traditionally disregarded or underrepresented in literary spaces. because of this, we look to place an emphasis on work by people of color, queer and trans people, women, and any others who lie outside of the institutions that have dominated the publishing and literary space.
