How Did You Arrive At Your Current Position?
I wanted a fun, affordable, and creative way to promote my books and share, celebrate, and promote other authors' successes so I started an online magazine.
What Is The Staff Structure At Your Magazine/press?
Currently it's just me, but I have a list of talented authors who have agreed to help read and select submissions when the time comes.
Do You Have Any Cover Letter Advice?
Follow the guidelines...
How Are Submissions Processed In Your Magazine/press?
Authors are notified that their submissions were received, read by the editor, and judged on originality and voice. Once read - within four weeks - the authors are contacted (the ones accepted as well as the ones that aren't).
What Do You Look For In A Submission?
Anything and everything - as long as the story is well written and the voice rings true. Humor, heartbreak, and everything in between.
What Advice Do You Have For First-time Submitters?
Don't be afraid to submit! And don't take rejection too seriously - no two people read the same story. If your story is rejected ask for feedback.
Do You Have A Favorite Unsolicited Submission Discovery Or Anecdote?
You never know what you're going to get. Every submission is a wonderful surprise.
Who Is Your Ideal Reader?
Readers from eighteen to eighty - WELL READ publishes a variety of genres.
