CLMP’s Editors of Color Meetups provide a space for editors of color in literary publishing to connect, discuss issues related to their work, share resources, and support one another. They are moderated by NaBeela Washington, founder and editor in chief of Lucky Jefferson.

The meetup on August 21 at 4 p.m. ET will focus on how editorial trust is built, not just through clear communication, but through consistent, caring presence. When we show up regularly and intentionally, trust becomes something we nurture together. We will discuss together how programming, like monthly presence circles, editorial office hours, check-ins with contributors, or something else, can help sustain that trust over time, especially in times when trust is fractured. These kinds of offerings can reshape how we relate to each other across editorial roles and literary spaces.
