CLMP has partnered with Chill Subs on its Literary Magazine Incubator Project!
Chill Subs awarded five literary magazines $1,000 each to help them make their literary magazine financially sustainable within a year. The winners are DreamworldgirlZine, Folly, Notch, NWF Journal, and Space and Time.
To apply, magazines had to submit a sustainability plan that included a clear, committed strategy for paying their staff and writers; plans could not rely exclusively on submission fees or traditional contests. The deadline to apply was September 1, 2025.
Along with a $1,000 cash award, winning magazines receive access to a private chat with Chill Subs and its growing Board of Editor-Advisors from magazines, including The Sun, HAD, Only Poems, and SmokeLong Quarterly.
Winners will also receive a free one-year membership to CLMP, which includes access to the CLMP listservs; discounts with advertising networks, printers, and submission platforms; access to CLMP’s comprehensive Resource Library and database of publishing contacts; access to the Lit Mag Adoption program; and more. Full benefits can be found here.
