Call For Submissions

Our Bold Voices celebrates the many different ways people experience life. We love to publish exciting and thoughtful fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. We especially want to hear from new writers.

Synopsis: Forbidden Love is the working title of our next collection of stories. We will gather stories of romantic relationships kept secret. These will focus on love relationships despite challenges from society, family, or religious beliefs. Our objective is to highlight the beauty of how we love and survive through the obstacles we encounter.

We encourage LGBTQ+ individuals, women, people of color, and writers from around the world to share their stories and poems. If you have a message or a story that is important to you, we would love to listen and amplify your voice.

We will accept submissions in the following categories:

  • Poetry: Submit up to three poems. If submitting multiple pieces, we prefer to showcase a set from each selected contributor.
  • Flash Fiction & Nonfiction: Submit up to three pieces (up to 1000 words each)
  • Short Fiction & Nonfiction: Submit a single piece (1,200 – 5,000 words)
