This contest will award First, Second, and Third prizes for both Prose and Poetry:
- First Place: $500 (One award for Prose | One award for Poetry)
- Second Place: $100 (One award for Prose | One award for Poetry)
- Third Place: $50 (One award for Prose | One award for Poetry)
All stories in the magazine are narrated and the first place winners will include an author interview on the Story Discovery Podcast.
Submitted works must be previously unpublished fiction, nonfiction, poetry or flash fiction. Our contests do not allow for simultaneous submissions. We do not wish to send works to our judges that have been accepted elsewhere, or withdrawn, therefore please be considerate in this regard. We are open to all styles, genres, and types of writing as long as the story is engaging.
For poetry submissions, please submit a minimum of three (3) and preferably five (5) poems (with five being the maximum) in one document/submission.
All works must be under 5,000 words.
Contest details, manuscript requirements, and a link to our Submittable Portal can be found on our submissions page.
