Fantasy Poetry

Call For Submissions

The Orichalcum Tower Review will open on January 15th, 2026 for submissions of poetry for its April issue.

The optional theme for this issue is Culinary Arts. Writers may choose to engage with food, cooking, kitchens, ritual meals, hunger, abundance, or transformation. The theme is intended as an invitation rather than a requirement. Submissions that do not address the theme are equally welcome.

We seek poetry that engages with fantasy in its broadest sense. This includes mythic, folkloric, surreal, dark, or speculative work, as well as poems where the ordinary and the unreal intersect. We are especially interested in poems with strong atmosphere, intentional language, and emotional depth.

Poems may be narrative or lyrical, formally experimental or traditional, provided the work serves the poem’s intent. We value clarity of voice, imaginative reach, and attention to craft.

Guidelines

  • Submit up to 5 poems per submission.

  • Each poem should be no more than 2 pages, single-spaced.

  • Simultaneous submissions are welcome; please notify us promptly if your work is accepted elsewhere.

  • Previously published work is not accepted unless explicitly stated.

All submissions are read by the editor and considered with care.
