Call For Submissions

Quibble Lit is a modern literary collective that makes writing more meaningful by connecting an everyday readership with writers who take risks. We believe we live to bicker and beg the question, and that critical interpretation and expression matter deeply.

We’re excited to open submissions for JUNGLE: Volume VIII of Quibble Lit.

Check out QuibbleLit.com to get a sense of the publication.

Selected submissions will be published online at QuibbleLit.com, shared across our platforms, and collected in the print edition of JUNGLE, scheduled for release in late June / early July 2026. Contributing authors and artists will receive a complimentary print copy.

By submitting, you consent to publication online and in print. You retain all rights to your work. Quibble does not ask for exclusivity or ownership—only the chance to celebrate your work and share it with our readers, while respecting any other publishers’ agreements.

Theme: JUNGLE

This volume’s theme is JUNGLE—a word that can mean lushness, danger, heat, hunger, overgrowth, and the beautiful chaos of systems that refuse to stay orderly.

We invite work that explores jungle as place, state, system, or metaphor: real or imagined landscapes, sensory overload, obsession, survival, ferality, desire, social hierarchies, bureaucracy, entanglement, inheritance, violence, wonder, and transformation.

Send us work where something grows unchecked—where the path disappears, where language gets sweaty, where beauty and danger press close together.

As always, our theme is a creative prompt, not a requirement. The guidelines below are required.

Submission Guidelines
