New Constructions Hybrid Book Contest
Wet Cement’s New Constructions 2nd Annual hybrid book contest seeks to expand the language and spirit of the hybrid form.
We are looking for works that collide or collaborate, for old tropes newly subverted. While hybrids of written and visual work are welcome, we are also looking for work that finds new elements to combine within the forms of poetry, fiction or essays. Works that move across times, languages, histories, that juxtapose, interpolate, and discover new patterns.
The editors of Wet Cement Press will choose the winning manuscript. The winner will receive a standard publishing contract and book publication with WCP in the Spring of 2027. There is no cash reward.
We are looking for meaningful hybrid works of approximately 75-150 pages.
