In 2022, we introduced a new book series, Nothing Exists Alone. It challenged writers to explore themes of climate change freshly.
The inaugural title, “What Happened Was,” by Katherine Haake was released on Earth Day 2023.
Since the spring, we’ve decided a quicker publishing schedule may suit this project better, one that no doubt is inspired by current events.
So, 11:11 is pausing Nothing Exists Alone the book series and introducing, Nothing Exists Alone: Short Stories. The chosen stories will be published on the press’s website.
While the format is changing, what we’re looking for in a submission isn’t. Please share your story if it is strongly voiced, lyrically written, Jenny Offill’s “Weather” comes to mind, and confronts the emotional intensity of this crisis.
