Call For Submissions

NEW YORK — Frog Mag is seeking all manner of experimental writing (fiction, non-fiction, poetry, & everything in-between) regarding the intersection of textiles and clandestine activities for its Volume 3: SPY. We want to know about your lacquered jacket buttons hiding camera lenses, fingerprints left on suit lapels, inscrutable shrouds obscuring identities, codes sewn into the family quilt. Who put the felt lining in your office safe? Spy, then: show us the dialectical function of textiles as it relates to surreptitious meaning — think of the hidden binaries of woven fabrics — and also its role in surveillance, modes of control. We’re looking for pieces that antagonize these contradictions, that skirt the edge of textile or pierce right through it. We will read every missive, every piece of information you can get us until January 23. Information on how to submit or pitch us can be found at www.frog-mag.com. You can also submit directly to Frog at [email protected]. Good luck and don’t get caught.
