Submissions of Collaborative Fiction & Poetry for Monthly Theme: “Cave” (March 2026) 🪨

Switch-Lit is a literary platform-publisher of collaborative fiction, poetry, and prose that enables two writers — already familiar or total strangers — to take alternating turns and craft the next chapter of a single story or poem.

T H E  O P E N  C A L L

This is an open call for submissions of collaborative fiction and/or poetry written by two (2) writers, inspired by our new monthly theme “Cave” (March 2026) and its original collection of five (5) creative writing prompts.

• The collaborative works must be written using Switch-Lit, an online platform custom designed for turn-based collaborative writing, editing, and self-publishing.
• Writers can sign-up for free to use Switch-Lit’s collaborative writing tools and secure environment.
• Writers with existing partners can customize story settings to determine their overall structure:
• Submissions can be made directly within the Switch-Lit platform upon completion of the work.
• Writers in need of a partner can join the monthly “Cave” Subrosa round — a unique writing cohort of individual writers paired with one another by Switch-Lit editors based on hidden identities and shared writing preferences:

T I M E L I N E

• March 1, 2026: “Cave” monthly theme (+ Subrosa round) opens
• March 31, 2026: “Cave” monthly theme (+ Subrosa round) closes
• April 1, 2026: Reading period “Cave” submissions begins
• All “Cave” submissions are welcome on a rolling basis throughout 2026 for publishing in the Switch-Lit Library
