Call For Submissions
THE NOMAD publishes fiction, nonfiction, essays, memoir, literary book reviews, and poetry on an annual theme–online twice a year at the-nomad.org, and annually in a printed volume.
We are seeking writing that is a pleasure to read.
The theme for 2026 is “MUSIC,” interpreted broadly. In general, we are more likely to publish pieces shorter than 3,500 words.
Authors should submit one previously-published piece and one unpublished piece, along with a few sentences of commentary about each piece of writing and how it relates to the annual theme of “MUSIC.”
