Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
Co-founded by Andrew Felsher and Yehui Zhao, 128 LIT is a print and online literature and art magazine based in New York City. This is a re-orienting place that confronts normative euro-centric narratives and aesthetics. Winner of CLMP’s 2023 Firecracker Award for Best Debut Magazine, 128 LIT is committed to publishing bold and fearless poetry, translation, fiction, essays, hybrid works, and art. We want loving and revolutionary voices. We want these pages to be an opening that collapses the distances between languages, interrogates socio-historical geographies and their weaponized apparatuses, and makes new pathways for seeing and situating within an international context and the many wars therein.
