Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
We're a magazine of multi-genre dark and trauma lit, with a specific focus on fiction and poetry. We publish visceral work that illustrates the dark reality of our world; those internal things we cannot talk about, but we all know exist. I believe the work we publish will reach someone, and if you reach at least one person with your work, then you’ve done your job as a writer--what we're really about is making people feel they're not alone in their pain. We're also international--as of Autumn 2025, we've published work from approximately twenty-five countries (list is on our guidelines page). In 2026, we're publishing a stunning fiction piece set against the 2015 earthquake from a writer in Nepal.
