Belt publishes nonfiction with a focus on the industrial Midwest. Founded in 2013, we are a Cleveland-based small press that emphasizes quality, sophisticated nonfiction about an often overlooked and under-written about region.We have three imprints: the City Anthology Series, Notches, and Neighborhood Guidebooks.
Our titles have been reviewed by The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Ebony Magazine, CityLab, The Daily Beast and dozens of local newspapers and other publications. We have won awards and published works by some of the nation’s best writers and rising stars.
