Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
We are a team of creative students with backgrounds in various artistic mediums. Our mission is to shine a spotlight on the artistic spirit of our CLC community. The Bent Pine is an outlet for any shy artist, developing writer, or proud poet. We want to celebrate and publish the imaginative works of student, staff, and faculty to illuminate the Brainerd Lakes Area. Together we hope to create something that encourages self-expression and a shared sense of belonging--through Art.

Submissions Policy
We accept work, currently, from students, staff, and faculty at Central Lakes College, up to 5 pieces of art and up to 10 pages of writing. We rely on CLMP membership to operate our project and hope to open up our journal in the near future to community members but are in the growing phases currently (with small staff/group working on the project). We won a national award for our recent issue, so we're excited about that!
