Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
We publish unsettling, disconcerting adult market literary fiction and poetry, and especially like slipstream, Weird, experimental, bravura, gross, and the absurd. We pay writers a nominal fee per submission, not per acceptance. The main mission of the journal is to pay writers and artists for their work.

Primary Editor/Contact Person
Writers can submit one piece of short fiction, one piece of prose poetry, or one poem per issue, and are paid a nominal fee of £1 upon submission. (The fee is not paid if the submission or cover letter is abusive to editors, but this rarely happens.) If writers choose, they can opt in to receive detailed editorial feedback along with their submission, and pay us £10. All money received goes toward paying other writers and artists. We accept both reprints and translations, although original new pieces are preferred. Visual art is either solicited by me (the EIC), found using our art directory, or is my personal art (I paint and draw). We ask artists what their licensing fees are before using their work, and pay whatever they ask, often including a tip or requesting to pay more.
